The Waterville Valley is surrounded by the southernmost 4,000' peaks of the White Mountains. Long before skiing came to Waterville, it was known as a premier hiking destination. It's network of hiking trails, dating back to the mid 1800's has been called the "oldest hiking trail system in the Northeast". The WVAIA Trail Map, available at stores in Waterville Valley Town Square, offers a detailed guide to these trails.
The WVAIA mission is to support and maintain our local hiking trails, fly fishing, croquet, stewardship of our beautiful part of the White Mountain National Forest and to offer educational programs and events to that end.
